"My body is changing in gross ways and I should be ashamed of it."
How it sounds in your head: Hair is growing in weird places. Your voice cracks. You smell different. Your body is doing things you don't understand and can't control. It's embarrassing and gross and you wish you could just stay a kid.
"To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven."
-- Ecclesiastes 3:1Enemy twisting God's perfect design for maturation into shame + lack of biblical teaching on puberty as blessed transition.
Puberty IS awkward and your body IS doing things you didn't choose and can't stop. Nobody talks about it openly, which makes it feel like it must be shameful.
Scripture says 'Samuel grew in stature and in favor with the LORD and men.' Growing in 'stature' means his body was maturing and changing—and God FAVORED him through that entire process. Growth wasn't shameful; it was blessed.
I REFUSE the lie that my changing body is something gross or shameful. IT IS WRITTEN that there is a season for every purpose under heaven, and THIS is my season of growing into the man God designed me to be. Every change—voice, hair, smell, strength—is part of God's INTENTIONAL plan. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed in the city and in the field, blessed coming in and going out, and that includes being blessed DURING puberty, not just after it. I don't have to hide or apologize for growing up. This is a God-designed, God-blessed season, and I walk through it with my head up.
The Father isn't disgusted by your changing body—He's PROUD. He's watching His son grow into the man He always saw in you, and every awkward stage is part of the beautiful process. He's not embarrassed by you. He's celebrating you.
