"My body is broken now. I'll never feel rested or strong again."
How it sounds in your head: You wake up tired even after sleeping. Your back hurts, your joints ache, and the doctor says it's just 'getting older.' The best years are behind you—from here it's managing decline until the end.
"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:31Enemy/World: Aging presented as inevitable decay rather than covenant protection, death curse still ruling.
His body genuinely feels different than a decade ago, friends his age are getting diagnosed with serious conditions, and culture worships youth while discarding the aging. Every morning brings new evidence.
At 85 years old, Caleb said 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war.' Forty-five years later—SAME STRENGTH. Covenant, not age, determined his vitality.
I REFUSE the lie that my body must decline into weakness. IT IS WRITTEN that those who wait on the Lord shall RENEW their strength like eagles—not manage decay. My youth is renewed according to Psalm 103:5, and Christ redeemed me from every sickness and plague listed in Deuteronomy 28. IT IS WRITTEN that Caleb at 85 had the same strength as at 40 because of covenant promise. The BARAK blessing includes being blessed in my body, and the life of Jesus is manifested in my mortal flesh (2 Cor 4:11). I receive supernatural vitality as my inheritance. Age is a number—covenant is my reality.
Your Father isn't resigned to your decline—He's the God who renewed Caleb's strength at 85 and Moses's eyes at 120. He's not waiting for you to accept diminishment; He's waiting for you to receive the renewal that's already yours in Christ's body broken for yours.
