"My body is broken and weak—I'll never have the energy and strength other girls have."
How it sounds in your head: You watch friends play sports, stay up late, live normal lives while you're constantly exhausted and hurting. Your body feels like a broken-down car that can't keep up. You're 17 and feel like you're 70.
"But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:31Enemy establishing identity as 'broken' and 'weak' to define you by limitation instead of covenant promises.
Every attempt to do normal activities ends in exhaustion or pain flare-ups. Your body has let you down so many times that 'broken' feels like your permanent identity, not just a temporary condition.
Invalid for 38 YEARS—nearly four decades of weakness and limitation. Jesus said 'Rise, take up your bed and walk,' and John 5:9 says 'IMMEDIATELY the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked.' Thirty-eight years of weakness gone in ONE COMMAND.
I REFUSE the lie that my body is permanently broken and weak. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 40:31 that those who wait on the Lord shall RENEW their strength—run and NOT be weary, walk and NOT faint. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing that made Isaac SO WEALTHY that kings asked him to leave flows through my bloodline. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and what God inhabits He EMPOWERS. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:13 that I can do ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens me—not some things, not eventually, but ALL THINGS through HIM. Thirty-eight years of weakness vanished in ONE MOMENT at Bethesda; my exhaustion can vanish just as fast because my God specializes in INSTANT breakthrough.
Your Father isn't looking at your body's current condition and agreeing with the diagnosis—He's the Dad who gave 180 gallons of the FINEST WINE when there was NO WINE, no grapes, no fermentation process. He creates strength where exhaustion exists because His power isn't dependent on your starting point; it's dependent on His WORD.
