"Pain is just part of life. Everyone deals with something. I need to stop complaining."
How it sounds in your head: My grandpa has arthritis. My mom has migraines. Everyone's got something. Maybe I'm being a baby making a big deal out of normal human stuff. Maybe expecting to be pain-free is unrealistic and immature.
"But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed."
-- Isaiah 53:5Cultural normalization of the curse, repackaging enemy attacks as 'just life' and silencing expectation for breakthrough.
Statistically, chronic pain IS common—he sees it everywhere. Calling it 'normal' feels realistic rather than faithless. Complaining seems selfish when others suffer worse.
Ten men with leprosy—the most 'normal' incurable disease of their day, social outcasts who lived in colonies together because 'everyone's got something.' Jesus told them 'Go show yourselves to the priests,' and AS THEY WENT, they were cleansed. ALL ten. Immediate.
I REFUSE the lie that pain is normal and I should stop 'complaining.' IT IS WRITTEN: 'By His stripes we ARE healed.' The cross didn't make pain easier—it made healing AVAILABLE. Pain became common at the fall; freedom became available at Calvary. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Christ redeemed us from the curse'—and sickness IS the curse. I'm not being dramatic—I'm being BIBLICAL. Asking for what Jesus DIED to give me isn't complaining; it's FAITH. I stop normalizing what He defeated and start expecting what He PURCHASED.
The Father doesn't look at your pain and shrug, 'That's just life.' He looks at it with FURY because His Son was SHREDDED to eliminate it. When you ask for healing, you're not bothering Him—you're reminding Him why He sent Jesus, and He LOVES that.
