"My body is broken and God can't use broken things."
How it sounds in your head: I used to be strong and healthy. Now I'm sick and weak and can't do normal stuff. God uses people who are whole and capable. What good am I to Him like this? I'm just a burden now. I'm damaged goods.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Source: Enemy using physical weakness to attack identity and purpose.
He can't play sports anymore, misses school constantly, and watches friends do things he used to do. His body FEELS broken, so his identity feels broken. If he can't perform, what's his value?
Mephibosheth was crippled in both feet, hiding in exile, convinced he was worthless. King David sought him out, restored his family's land, and sat him at the king's table PERMANENTLY—'as one of the king's sons.' His broken feet didn't disqualify him; the king's COVENANT qualified him.
I REFUSE the lie that my broken body makes me useless to God. IT IS WRITTEN that His strength is made PERFECT in my weakness. I am not a burden; I am a VESSEL for His glory. God doesn't need me healthy to use me—He uses WEAKNESS to showcase His strength. IT IS WRITTEN that God CHOSE the weak things to shame the strong. My value is not in my performance; it's in my POSITION as His son. The BARAK blessing doesn't require a perfect body; it required a perfect SACRIFICE, and Jesus was that. I am seated at the King's table like Mephibosheth—not because my feet work, but because the King's LOVE works.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to get strong before He uses you. He's using you RIGHT NOW in your weakness to show everyone around you that HIS strength is enough. You're not broken to Him—you're beloved, and that's all the qualification you need.
