"My body has betrayed me. I can't trust it anymore."
How it sounds in your head: My body turned against me without warning. It's like living in enemy territory in my own skin. I'm constantly waiting for the next flare, the next symptom, the next failure. I used to feel at home in my body; now it feels like a prison I can't escape.
"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?"

I REFUSE the lie that my body is my enemy. IT IS WRITTEN that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and God doesn't dwell in condemned buildings. My body is holy ground because HE lives here. Even if my body feels like it's failing, the Holy Spirit within me is not failing. I speak to my body the way Jesus spoke to Lazarus—COME FORTH into health, into wholeness, into resurrection life. IT IS WRITTEN that I am redeemed from the curse, and bodily malfunction is part of that curse. The BARAK blessing flows through my physical body, commanding health in every cell, every system, every function. I trust the God IN my body more than the symptoms ON my body.
The Father didn't condemn the prodigal's body for where it had been or what it smelled like—He clothed it with the best robe and fed it the finest food. Your body isn't too broken for God's indwelling presence; it's the very place He chose to live.
