Unlovable
"My body and health failures prove I'm not worthy of love or attention."

How it sounds in your head: You're not the man you were. The weight, the prescriptions, the things that don't work like they used to. You feel invisible—she doesn't look at you that way anymore, and you don't blame her. Men are supposed to be strong, vital, capable. You're becoming the guy who talks about his health issues. Who wants to love that?

2 Corinthians 12:9

"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."

-- 2 Corinthians 12:9
Enemy whispers: Weakness makes you unlovable. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: 2 Corinthians 12:9—'My strength is made PERFECT in weakness.' Not 'tolerated' or 'works around.' PERFECT. God doesn't love you despite your body—He demonstrates His power THROUGH it. The Father ran to the prodigal who was physically depleted, malnourished, probably sick from pig pen living. Didn't wait for a gym membership and health screening. Kissed him while he was weak. Your body's struggles are not a disqualification letter—they're an invitation to see HIS strength.
Quick Truth: LIE: Body failure = unlovable. TRUTH: God's strength is PERFECT in weakness (2 Cor 12:9). Mephibosheth feasted while crippled.

World system: body as performance machine; masculine identity tied to physical capability and sexual function.

Why this feels true:

The mirror doesn't lie. The doctor's appointments stack up. Energy isn't automatic anymore. You see younger men and remember when that was you, and now you're the aging guy trying to stay relevant. Society worships strength; you're managing decline.

2 Samuel 9:6-13
Mephibosheth

Mephibosheth was crippled in both feet, living in hiding, convinced he was worthless. David restored him to full royal status, gave him all of Saul's land, and made him eat at the king's table permanently—not after physical therapy, but immediately, while still disabled.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my physical decline makes me unlovable. IT IS WRITTEN: 2 Corinthians 12:9—God's strength is made PERFECT in my weakness. Not despite it. THROUGH it. My body is not my identity; Christ IN me is my identity. IT IS WRITTEN: 1 Corinthians 6:19—my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Not 'was when it was better.' IS. The Father doesn't wait for me to get in shape to love me—He runs toward me NOW. The BARAK blessing covered Isaac's failing eyesight and Jacob's limp. I am Abraham's seed. I receive divine health, supernatural strength, and the Father's delight in my current body RIGHT NOW.

But God actually:

The Father is declaring: 'I'm not keeping score on your physical performance—I'm displaying My strength in your story. The parts you think disqualify you are exactly where My glory shows up best.' He's preparing the royal table for you today, not after recovery.
