"My best years are behind me; pain defines my future now."
How it sounds in your head: I used to be strong, active, capable. Now I'm just managing decline. My friends are dying, my body's breaking down—this is just what the final chapter looks like. The good years are gone; survival is what's left.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust."
-- Joel 2:25Enemy's lie that steals hope by making age a death sentence instead of seeing God's best wine comes LAST.
Statistical reality shows bodies decline with age, and watching peers deteriorate or die confirms the pattern. Society discards the elderly as past their prime.
At 85 years old, Caleb declared 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me'—then asked for the mountain with the giants. God gave him VICTORY at 85, proving best battles come in final years.
I REFUSE the lie that my best is behind me. IT IS WRITTEN in Joel 2:25 that God RESTORES the years the locusts have eaten—not just stops the loss, but RESTORES what's gone. Jesus saved the BEST WINE for LAST at the wedding. IT IS WRITTEN that Caleb took mountains at 85, Moses led nations at 80, Abraham fathered nations at 100. My latter years will be GREATER than my former. I am covered by the BARAK blessing that declares I am blessed in my GOING OUT—my final years are under divine favor, not natural decline.
The Father isn't writing your final chapter as a tragedy—He's preparing the BEST for last because that's His nature, and He's running toward you with RESTORATION of everything the years took. The wine at your wedding gets BETTER as the night goes on.
