"My abortion means I've lost my chance at being a godly mother"
How it sounds in your head: When I see pregnancy announcements, I feel like a fraud. How can I ever deserve the title 'mom' after what I did? I had my chance and I chose death. God might forgive me, but I've disqualified myself from that blessing.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Source: Religious condemnation that treats abortion as the unforgivable sin and creates a permanent 'less than' status for women who've had one.
The weight of that choice feels different than other sins—more permanent, more defining. She sees the due date on the calendar each year and feels the loss as proof she doesn't deserve future blessing.
David committed adultery and then murdered Bathsheba's husband to cover it up—causing a child's death through his sin. God still called him 'a man after My own heart,' made him the standard for all kings, and put him in the Messianic line.
I REFUSE the lie that my abortion disqualifies me from being a godly mother. IT IS WRITTEN that God RESTORES the years the locust has eaten—my past loss does not cancel future blessing. The blood of Jesus covers what I cannot undo, and there is NO condemnation for those in Christ. IT IS WRITTEN in Psalm 103:12 that God has removed my transgressions as far as the east is from the west. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and the BARAK blessing of fruitfulness is mine by covenant. God's plan for my motherhood was not erased by my worst decision.
The Father isn't holding that decision against your future—He's already wrapped the blood of Jesus around it and declared you QUALIFIED by grace. The enemy wants you to disqualify yourself, but the Father says 'RESTORED' over your womb and your calling.
