"Love is something I have to earn by being useful or helpful."
How it sounds in your head: People love me when I do things for them—help them, serve them, make their lives easier. If I stop being useful, they'll stop caring about me.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."

She's noticed that approval comes when she's helpful and disappears when she has needs instead of meeting them. Love feels like a wage she earns through service.
The thief on the cross had no time to serve, no works to offer, no usefulness to prove. He simply said 'remember me,' and Jesus IMMEDIATELY promised him paradise—full acceptance with zero accomplishment.
I REFUSE the lie that I must earn love through usefulness! IT IS WRITTEN that salvation is by GRACE, not works, a GIFT not a wage—and if God's ultimate love is free, His daily love is too. Jesus said 'Come to Me, all who are weary'—He invites the TIRED, not just the useful. IT IS WRITTEN that God commended His love toward us while we were still sinners, unable to earn anything. I am loved for WHO I am, not WHAT I do. The BARAK blessing followed Abraham's family in their REST, not just their labor. I am FREELY loved, completely TREASURED, unconditionally VALUED!
The Father doesn't love you more when you're useful and less when you're needy. He's inviting you to rest in His arms and let Him love you not for what you offer but for who you ARE—His daughter.
