"I've never been the real expert; I just borrowed everyone else's knowledge and passed it off as mine."
How it sounds in your head: Every insight I shared came from a book I read or something someone else said first. I was just good at synthesizing and presenting. Now looking back, I can't point to one original thought. I was a compiler, not a creator. A fraud who repackaged others' brilliance.
"For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?"
-- 1 Corinthians 4:7Enemy tactic to delegitimize godly wisdom by demanding original content rather than recognizing stewardship of revelation is itself a calling.
Culture worships innovation and originality, making faithful stewardship and wise synthesis seem like theft rather than the biblical model of receiving and passing on truth.
Ezra 'prepared his heart to seek the Law of the Lord, and to DO it, and to teach statutes.' He didn't write new Scripture—he taught what he received. Instant credibility from the king, instant authority with the people, because faithful stewardship IS expertise.
I REFUSE the lie that I was a fraud for stewarding others' wisdom. IT IS WRITTEN what do I have that I did not receive? ALL wisdom comes from God. Solomon received wisdom, Paul received revelation, and I received what God deposited to STEWARD. Faithful delivery of truth isn't plagiarism—it's biblical obedience. IT IS WRITTEN a faithful steward is found trustworthy. I wasn't borrowing—I was CARRYING what the Father entrusted. The BARAK blessing doesn't require original content—it requires obedience. The Father doesn't hand me a pop quiz—He runs toward me celebrating faithful stewardship of HIS wisdom.
The Father looks at your seventy years of faithfully sharing truth and says 'Well done, good and faithful STEWARD.' He wasn't waiting for you to invent new wisdom—He was delighting in you delivering HIS wisdom to those who needed it.
