"I've lived with this condition so long, it's too late for healing now."
How it sounds in your head: Twelve years of pain. Fifteen years of medication. Two decades of limitations. If God was going to heal me, wouldn't He have done it by now? This has become my 'normal.' Maybe I'm supposed to just learn to live with it and stop hoping for change that never comes.
"Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, 'If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.' Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction."

Every anniversary of diagnosis reinforces the lie. Years of disappointed prayers create scar tissue on hope. The sheer length of suffering makes breakthrough feel increasingly impossible, like a statute of limitations on miracles.
This man was an invalid for THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS—longer than many people's entire lives. No support system, no hope, just decades of watching others get healed while he remained sick. Jesus asked one question, spoke one command, and IMMEDIATELY he was made well. Thirty-eight years dissolved in one sentence.
I REFUSE the lie that the duration of my suffering determines the possibility of my healing. IT IS WRITTEN that the woman with twelve years of bleeding was IMMEDIATELY healed the moment she touched Jesus—not gradually, not eventually, IMMEDIATELY. My decades of pain do not intimidate the God who spoke galaxies into existence. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 65:24 that 'before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.' He is not limited by my timeline. I am Abraham's seed under the BARAK covenant blessing that operated REGARDLESS of behavior or duration—I receive instant breakthrough RIGHT NOW. The length of my captivity just magnifies the glory of my liberation. Today is my IMMEDIATELY day.
The Father didn't tell the invalid at Bethesda, 'Well, 38 years is a long time—you should have come to me sooner.' He RAN toward him (in Jesus' body) and healed him on the spot, no questions about why it took so long.
