"I've been poor my whole life—God must have a different plan for me than prosperity."
How it sounds in your head: Prosperity is for others. You've been poor through every season—young, middle-aged, now old. This must be God's will for you specifically. He has 'prosperity people' and 'humble poverty people,' and you're the latter. It's your assigned portion.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2Source: Religion's teaching that God assigns poverty to some as character-building or humility training, making lack a divine plan rather than enemy's theft.
A lifetime pattern of poverty creates narrative that it must be God's specific will for her. If He wanted prosperity for her, wouldn't it have come by now? The consistency seems like divine assignment.
Job lost EVERYTHING—wealth, children, health—and sat in poverty and suffering for what seemed like God's mysterious plan. But God's ACTUAL plan was revealed in the end: He gave Job DOUBLE everything he lost—twice the livestock, twice the wealth, complete restoration. The poverty season was the enemy's attack, not God's assignment, and God's response was ABUNDANCE.
I REFUSE the lie that lifetime poverty is God's plan for me. IT IS WRITTEN: Beloved, I pray you may PROSPER in all things. That is God's HEART, not poverty. I am beloved. I am Abraham's seed by faith, heir to the BLESSING, not the curse. Christ redeemed me from poverty's curse so I could receive Abraham's blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, the head not the tail, above only not beneath. Job's suffering ended in DOUBLE restoration—poverty is enemy's theft, not Father's assignment. The pattern of lack breaks NOW. I receive supernatural abundance because it is my COVENANT RIGHT as daughter of the King. Prosperity is not for 'special people'—it's for the BELOVED, and I am BELOVED.
Right now your Father's heart toward you is 3 John 2—PROSPER in ALL things. Not 'stay humble in poverty'—PROSPER. He's not looking at your lifetime of lack thinking 'this is My plan for her.' He's looking at it as THEFT that Jesus died to reverse, and He's ready to pour out the abundance that was ALWAYS His intention for His beloved daughter.
