"I've become so small and quiet that I take up no space. I've learned not to be a burden."
How it sounds in your head: You've mastered the art of disappearing—don't ask for too much, don't take up space, don't be a burden, don't require attention. You've become skilled at being unnoticeable, and now you can't remember how to be seen.
"Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; do not spare; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes."
-- Isaiah 54:2Religious lie that godliness equals smallness, hiding the truth that you were made to FILL SPACE with God's glory.
You've been told you're 'too much' so many times you've become 'not enough.' You've learned to shrink, to minimize your needs, to apologize for existing. Being small feels safer than being rejected for being big.
The Queen of Sheba showed up to Solomon's court with camels bearing spices, gold, and precious stones—not apologizing for taking up space but DEMANDING audience with her largeness. Solomon gave her everything she asked for because her boldness was appropriate for her position as queen.
I REFUSE the lie that I need to stay small or that taking up space makes me a burden. IT IS WRITTEN that God commands me to ENLARGE, to STRETCH OUT, to EXPAND—I was made to be BIG because I carry His glory. My needs are not burdens; my presence is not too much. IT IS WRITTEN that I am a royal priesthood, a daughter of the King—I was made for LARGENESS. The BARAK blessing means I am favored to INCREASE and EXPAND. I am ALLOWED to be big, to have needs, to FILL SPACE.
The Father didn't create you to shrink—He created you to EXPAND and fill the space He prepared for you. When you try to become small, He's whispering 'Take up MORE room, daughter—you were made to be BIG, and I love every bit of space you occupy.'
