"I've become invisible and irrelevant—even my physical presence doesn't matter anymore."
How it sounds in your head: People look past you, talk over you, make decisions about you without you. Your body has become a thing to be managed rather than a person to be honored. You feel like a burden taking up space, no longer truly SEEN.
"For He Himself has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.'"
-- Hebrews 13:5Enemy using ageism and physical limitations to attack value and visibility, making presence feel like burden instead of blessing.
Medical staff talk to family instead of you, conversations happen around you, and your physical limitations make participation difficult. You've become the 'patient' or 'Dad' instead of a full person.
An old man waiting in the temple, overlooked by the religious establishment, living in obscurity. Yet the Holy Spirit came upon HIM, revealed to HIM that he'd see the Messiah, and guided HIM to the Christ child—the most significant moment in human history happened to the 'invisible' old man, not the visible priests.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm invisible or irrelevant. IT IS WRITTEN that God will NEVER leave me nor forsake me—He SEES me constantly, hasn't looked away once. His thoughts toward me outnumber the sand—I am on the MIND of God every moment. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 49:16 that He has inscribed me on the palms of His hands. The BARAK blessing makes me the HEAD not the tail—I am SEEN, VALUED, RELEVANT in God's economy regardless of how culture treats the elderly. I am BEHELD by the Father who RUNS toward me.
The Father doesn't see a body to manage—He sees His BELOVED son, and every moment His eyes are on you with delight, tenderness, and fierce protective love. You are not invisible—you are TREASURED, constantly beheld by the One whose opinion is the only one that matters.
