"My body is changing in disgusting ways I can't control"
How it sounds in your head: I'm getting taller but awkward. My voice cracks. Hair is growing in weird places. I feel like a stranger in my own skin and everyone notices.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end."
-- Ecclesiastes 3:11Shame over natural development portrayed as defect instead of design
Puberty feels chaotic and visible. Jokes from peers magnify self-consciousness. He lacks framework for seeing these changes as God's intentional process.
Samuel grew physically and in favor with God and men simultaneously. His development—physical, spiritual, social—was seen as unified blessing, not compartmentalized shame. God honored every stage of his growth.
I REFUSE the lie that my changing body is disgusting. IT IS WRITTEN that God makes everything beautiful in its time, including my development. Every physical change is authored by my Father who calls it GOOD. I am under the Abrahamic blessing—blessed coming in and going out, in every season. IT IS WRITTEN I am fearfully and wonderfully made. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, transforming according to divine design.
Your Father isn't disgusted by your voice cracking or awkward growth. He's watching with delight as you develop into the man He designed, every stage beautiful in its time.
