"I've asked God to forgive me so many times; maybe He's tired of forgiving this."
How it sounds in your head: You approach the throne like you're exhausting a limited resource. 'Again? Really? How many times can I bring this? Surely there's a quota. Surely He's rolling His eyes by now. I've worn out my welcome.'
"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
-- Lamentations 3:22-23Source: Religion projected human frustration onto God, making Him a tired parent instead of an infinite Father whose mercy is NEW every morning.
YOU'RE tired of your own sin. You're frustrated with yourself. You've projected that exhaustion onto Him. If YOU'RE sick of you, surely He is too.
Complained, doubted, worshiped a golden calf, tested God repeatedly for FORTY YEARS. Every single morning, fresh manna appeared. 14,600 mornings of fresh provision despite daily rebellion—God's supply never reflected their behavior, only His nature.
I REFUSE the lie that I can exhaust God's forgiveness. IT IS WRITTEN: His compassions are NEW EVERY MORNING—I cannot drain infinity. His mercy doesn't decrease. His patience doesn't run out. IT IS WRITTEN in Matthew 18:21-22: When Peter asked 'how many times shall I forgive, seven?' Jesus said 'seventy times seven'—if that's the human standard, how much more the DIVINE? I am not annoying Him. I am encountering ENDLESS mercy. The BARAK blessing covered repeat offenders, chronic failures—covenant isn't based on my track record. I am FORGIVEN. Again. Still. Always.
The Father doesn't sigh when the prodigal approaches. He RUNS. Every. Single. Time. He's not counting. He's not exhausted. He's EAGER. Your repeated need is not a burden to Him—it's an opportunity to show you He never runs out.
