"I've wasted my life; it's too late to forgive myself and start over."
How it sounds in your head: I'm 90+. What's the point of forgiving myself now? The life is lived, the damage is done, and there's no time left to make it right. I'll take this guilt to the grave.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
-- Joel 2:25Source: Enemy's lie that timing disqualifies you from grace and that age makes you ineligible for fresh starts.
Looking at the decades behind you and the limited time ahead, forgiveness feels pointless—what difference could it make now? The enemy convinces you that grace has an expiration date and that God only renews the young.
In his final hours, guilty, dying, no time to build a legacy or make amends, he said, 'Lord, remember me.' Jesus responded, 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise.' From death row to Paradise in one sentence. It's never too late for a fresh start with God.
I REFUSE the lie that it's too late for me to experience God's restoration and forgiveness. IT IS WRITTEN that God will restore the years the locust has eaten, and He doesn't have an age limit on His promises. I am Abraham's seed, blessed under the BARAK covenant that operates regardless of my age or my past. IT IS WRITTEN that the righteous still bear fruit in old age—I am NOT disqualified by my timeline. The thief on the cross got Paradise in his final breath, and God's grace is just as powerful for me today. I declare that every remaining day is covered by the blessing: coming in and going out, above and not beneath. I forgive myself because God already has, and His timing is ALWAYS perfect.
The Father isn't looking at your age and saying, 'Too late'—He's looking at you RIGHT NOW and saying, 'I will restore.' He's not waiting for you to be younger; He's inviting you into a fresh start TODAY, and He's already preparing the fruit that will come from your final season.
