"I've already emotionally checked out; my heart left years ago."
How it sounds in your head: I look at her and feel nothing—not anger, not love, just empty. I left this marriage in my heart long before any papers. You can't re-engage what's already gone.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust."
-- Joel 2:25Enemy whisper that emotional departure is permanent, that checked-out hearts can't return.
He's been emotionally divorced for years while staying physically present—going through motions, feeling dead inside. The disconnect feels like his permanent state now.
Emotionally left home, checked out of family, wasted his entire inheritance on prostitutes, lived among pigs. The moment he turned toward home, the Father RAN—full restoration in minutes, not years of rebuilding.
I REFUSE the lie that checked-out years create permanent emotional death. IT IS WRITTEN that God restores the years the locust has eaten—not just future, but PAST. The prodigal was completely gone, utterly checked out, and went from pig pen to party in fifteen minutes. IT IS WRITTEN that the Father RUNS toward returning hearts, that no distance is too far. I am under the BARAK covenant blessing—the same blessing that covered Jacob when he RAN AWAY for twenty years and returned to instant reconciliation. My emotional absence doesn't disqualify me from instant restoration. God is restoring NOW.
The Father isn't measuring your years of emotional absence—He's running toward you with full restoration. The moment you turn toward home, He's already thrown the party.
