"We've hurt each other too badly. The wounds are too deep to heal now."
How it sounds in your head: Words were said that can't be unsaid. Affairs happened. Betrayals occurred. You both carry scars that won't fade. Some wounds are just too deep—forgiveness might be possible, but restoration isn't.
"For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds, says the Lord."
-- Jeremiah 30:17Enemy teaching that certain sins exceed the reach of the Cross—that Jesus's blood has LIMITS based on offense severity.
The pain is visceral and documented. Some betrayals genuinely shattered trust in ways that seem irreparable by any human measure.
Gomer committed serial adultery—the deepest marital wound possible. She was literally with another man. God told Hosea to LOVE HER AGAIN, buy her back, and restore the marriage. Complete restoration of a marriage destroyed by repeated sexual betrayal.
I REFUSE the lie that our wounds are too deep for God's healing. IT IS WRITTEN that He will RESTORE health and HEAL wounds—not manage them, but ELIMINATE them. The blood of Jesus doesn't have a 'too damaged' category. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 53:5 that by His STRIPES we are HEALED—that includes marriage wounds, betrayal wounds, decades-old scars. My marriage isn't defined by what we did to each other but by what HIS BLOOD covers. The BARAK blessing that restored Hosea's marriage after ADULTERY covers my marriage after ANY wound. The Father is running toward us with COMPLETE healing, not a damage assessment report.
The Father doesn't see wounds too deep to heal—He sees opportunities to demonstrate resurrection power. While you were still bleeding from mutual betrayal, He was preparing COMPLETE restoration with no scar tissue remaining.
