"It's too late in the age to build anything that matters or lasts"
How it sounds in your head: Why write a book, build a ministry, plant a church, start a movement when the curtain is about to close? Everything I build will burn. Legacy work is for earlier generations. I'm in the epilogue, not the story.
"Then the Lord answered me and said: 'Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.'"
-- Habakkuk 2:2-3Enemy uses eschatological fatalism to silence the assignments and callings God has placed on this generation.
Church history shows great moves in past eras; now feels like cleanup duty before credits roll. He feels like he missed the main event and is just running out the clock until the return.
Exiled on Patmos island, in his 90s, churches under persecution, most apostles dead, everything collapsing—and Jesus appeared and said, 'WRITE what you see in a book and send it to the churches.' The last surviving apostle got the assignment to write the FINAL BOOK of Scripture in the darkest moment, and it has outlasted empires.
I REFUSE the lie that it is too late to build. IT IS WRITTEN in Habakkuk 2:2 to WRITE THE VISION, for it is yet for an appointed time, and at the END it will SPEAK. John was 90, exiled, alone—and Jesus gave him the assignment to write REVELATION, the final book, in the darkest hour. The vision meant for the end carries the LOUDEST voice. IT IS WRITTEN in Haggai 2:9, 'The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former.' I am not in the epilogue—I am in the CLIMAX. My assignment is not diminished by the hour—it is AMPLIFIED. I write, build, plant, preach, create, and launch with full conviction, because what God gives me in the final hour will echo into eternity. I am not a footnote—I am a FINISHER.
Your Father isn't retiring you—He's COMMISSIONING you for the final act, handing you the pen to write the CLIMAX. While the older brother writes you off as 'too late,' the Father wraps you in the robe and whispers, 'The glory of this latter house will be GREATER. What you build now will be quoted for generations. Write. Build. GO. The curtain is rising, not closing.'
