"I'm too tired and don't have the energy to pursue new dreams or adventures anymore."
How it sounds in your head: Travel sounds exhausting. Starting something new feels overwhelming. I used to have the drive to build and explore, but now I just want to sit in my recliner. The fire went out, and all that's left is managing what's already here.
"He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
-- Isaiah 40:29-31Enemy theft trying to drain your life force decades early—contradicting Isaiah 40:31 promise that those who wait on the Lord RENEW their strength.
You feel the fatigue in your bones that wasn't there at fifty, activities that used to invigorate now exhaust, and recovery takes longer than the activity itself. Friends talk about 'acting your age' and 'slowing down,' making rest feel like wisdom instead of resignation.
At 120 years old, after leading a nation for forty years through wilderness, 'Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.' God SUSTAINED his strength supernaturally through four decades of the hardest leadership on earth.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too tired or too old for new dreams and adventures. IT IS WRITTEN that God gives POWER to the weak and INCREASES strength to those with no might—that's a present-tense promise. Moses had undimmed eyes and natural vigor at 120. Caleb was as strong at 85 as at 40. IT IS WRITTEN that those who wait on the Lord RENEW their strength—not preserve what's left but RENEW it fresh from Heaven. The BARAK blessing carried Abraham to new lands at 75 and Sarah birthed nations at 90. I am a branch connected to an inexhaustible Vine, and His life force flows through me NOW. I mount up with eagles' wings.
The Father isn't asking you to muster energy from empty reserves—He's offering the same supernatural vigor that kept Moses climbing mountains at 120. He sees adventures ahead that require your specific wisdom, and He's already providing the strength to walk them out.
