"I'm too old to see my dreams fulfilled now. My time has passed."
How it sounds in your head: You had your shot. Younger men are stepping up while you're stepping down. The vigorous years are gone, and God's best for you was decades ago. You're in maintenance mode now, not breakthrough mode.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust."
-- Joel 2:25Enemy whisper exploiting physical decline to suggest spiritual irrelevance and God's favor expiring with youth.
His body reminds him daily—less energy, slower recovery, friends retiring or dying. Culture worships youth and innovation, making him feel like a relic. The world measures value by productivity, and his productive years feel finished.
Abraham received his promised son at 100 years old—physically 'as good as dead' according to Romans 4:19. Sarah bore Isaac when she was 90, decades past menopause, and they laughed at the impossibility made possible. God specializes in dead wombs and dead dreams.
I REFUSE the lie that my age disqualifies me from God's promises. IT IS WRITTEN that God restores the years the locusts have eaten—not when I'm young and strong, but NOW, in my weakness where His strength is perfected. My Isaac moment isn't behind me; it's breaking forth NOW. The BARAK blessing of Abraham is mine by covenant, not by youth. IT IS WRITTEN that Abraham received his promise at 100 years old when his body was as good as dead. If God gave a son to a dead womb, He gives fresh vision to this seasoned warrior. I am NOT in maintenance mode—I am in MANIFESTATION mode. My latter days are greater than my former, and the best wine has been saved for NOW.
The Father sees your 70+ years not as depletion but as SETUP. Like wine that gets better with age, He's been preparing you—every trial, every season, every heartbreak was preparation for THIS unveiling. He's running toward you NOW with breakthrough that only a man of your maturity can steward, and your age is your ADVANTAGE, not your disqualification.
