"I'm too old to find love; all the good ones are taken or dead."
How it sounds in your head: You're 90-something. Everyone you could have loved is gone or married. You spent your life working, providing, being strong—and now you'll die alone. What woman wants a man who can't even walk without a cane?
"For your Maker is your husband, the LORD of hosts is His name; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of the whole earth."
-- Isaiah 54:5Enemy whispers isolation while you face death, mocking your lifetime of sacrificial provision as wasted years.
You look around and see widows, nursing home staff, and married couples. Your body is failing, opportunities feel gone. The enemy times this lie perfectly when you're most vulnerable and facing eternity.
Abraham was 140 years old, after Sarah died, when God gave him ANOTHER WIFE—Keturah—who bore him SIX MORE SONS. The God who gave a centenarian another family laughs at 'too old for love.'
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too old for companionship or that I'll die alone. IT IS WRITTEN that my Maker is my husband, the Lord of hosts. I am NEVER alone because the Father runs toward me every single day. IT IS WRITTEN in Genesis 25:1 that Abraham remarried at 140 and had six more sons. If God wants to bring love into my final season, He will—but I already HAVE the greatest Love. I am the BARAK-blessed seed of Abraham, surrounded by Heaven's affection. My worth was never in a relationship; it's in HIS finished work.
The Father sees you and whispers: 'I've walked every lonely year with you. I AM your companion—and if I choose to surprise you with earthly love at 95, I WILL. But you're already held.' He's been preparing a homecoming that makes every earthly romance look like a rough draft.
