"I'll have to settle or compromise my standards. The person I actually want doesn't exist or wouldn't want me."
How it sounds in your head: You've been told you're 'too picky' so many times you're starting to believe it. You have a picture of who you'd truly want—someone you're genuinely attracted to, who shares your values, who has emotional health—but it feels like a fantasy. You think: 'I need to be realistic and settle for good enough, or I'll end up alone.'
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."
-- Ephesians 3:20Scarcity lie from world—declaring God can't do ABUNDANTLY above what you ask or imagine, forcing false choice between loneliness and settling.
The people you've MET don't match what you're looking for, and culture says 'beggars can't be choosers' at your age. Friends tell you to 'lower your standards' as if hope itself is arrogance, and you're tired of defending your desires.
Solomon asked for wisdom to lead well—a reasonable, humble request. God said 'Because you asked for THIS and not riches or long life, I'm giving you wisdom AND riches AND honor beyond any king before or after you.' God gave him what he ASKED plus abundantly MORE than he imagined asking for.
I REFUSE the lie that I must settle or compromise my God-given desires. IT IS WRITTEN that God does EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY above all I ask or think—not barely enough, not 'good enough,' but ABOVE my imagination. Solomon asked for one thing and got that PLUS abundantly more—God doesn't do scarcity in relationships. I am ABRAHAM'S SEED, and the barak brought Isaac a woman who was beautiful, pure, faithful, AND from his covenant line—not a compromise. IT IS WRITTEN that delight in the Lord brings the desires of my heart—those desires are FROM Him, not to be killed or lowered. The Father is bringing someone who checks boxes I didn't even know to put on the list, and I will NOT settle for less than His ABUNDANTLY ABOVE because that dishonors both me AND her.
The Father doesn't bring 'good enough' gifts—He brings PERFECT gifts that make you weep at His kindness. Like the prodigal getting the BEST robe, not a hand-me-down, you're getting HIS best for you, and she'll exceed what you dared hope for.
