"I'm too old now to take risks like I could have when I was younger"
How it sounds in your head: My friends who are settled took their risks in their early twenties. Now I've got bills, responsibilities, less margin for failure. The window for bold moves has closed and I have to play it safe now.
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
-- Joshua 1:9Fear-based worldview that risk windows close with age and increasing responsibility eliminates the option for bold faith
He has more to lose now than at 18. Bills are real, failure has bigger consequences, and recovery seems harder. Playing it safe feels like wisdom.
Abraham was 75 YEARS OLD when God said 'leave everything you know and go to a land I'll show you'—no map, no plan, just GO. He took the biggest risk of his life at an age when most men are retiring, and became father of nations.
I REFUSE the lie that age or responsibility closes the window for bold faith or that I'm too old for risk. IT IS WRITTEN: be strong and courageous, for the Lord is WITH ME wherever I go. Abraham launched his calling at 75. Caleb conquered giants at 85. IT IS WRITTEN: I can do ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens me. My risk capacity isn't determined by my age or bills—it's determined by WHO IS WITH ME. The BARAK blessing doesn't play it safe—Isaac sowed in FAMINE and reaped HUNDREDFOLD. God COMMANDS me to be bold, not cautious.
The Father isn't asking you to play it safe because you're older—He's calling you like Abraham at 75, to LEAVE what's comfortable and step into what He's prepared. The risk isn't reckless when He's WITH you.
