"I'm too intense about things I care about; I should care less and chill out."
How it sounds in your head: When I get passionate about something, people say I'm 'obsessed' or 'intense.' My friends don't understand why I care so much about certain things. Maybe I should just not care as much so I fit in better.

Phinehas was so passionate for God's holiness that he took immediate, intense action when Israel sinned. God didn't rebuke his intensity—He gave him a covenant of PERPETUAL PRIESTHOOD because of his zeal, calling it righteousness.
I REFUSE the lie that my passion is too much! IT IS WRITTEN that God HATES lukewarm—He wants me HOT, on fire, fully alive in what I care about! IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 12:11 to be 'fervent in spirit, serving the Lord'—FERVENT, not chill, not toned-down! I will not apologize for caring deeply. The Father gave me this fire, and He's fanning the flame, not extinguishing it!
The Father doesn't want you to care less—He wants you to burn brighter. When you light up with passion, He sees the image of His own heart in you, and He's not asking you to dim it; He's adding fuel to the fire.
