"I'm too far gone. I've burned too many bridges; even God's patience has limits."
How it sounds in your head: You've relapsed so many times. You've disappointed everyone—parents, sponsors, pastors. You feel like you've used up your chances, exhausted God's mercy. Maybe He's done. Maybe you've crossed a line where even grace doesn't reach.
"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
-- Lamentations 3:22-23Source: Human experience of limited patience projected onto God—makes His love finite and conditional, denying the INEXHAUSTIBLE nature of divine grace.
People HAVE given up on you. You've seen the exhaustion in their eyes. If humans have limits, surely God does too. You feel like a burden even to God.
He was Judah's most EVIL king—sacrificed his own sons to demons, filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, led the nation into witchcraft. After decades of wickedness, he cried out to God from an Assyrian prison. God heard him, RESTORED him to his throne, and he finished well. No sin was too far.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too far gone. IT IS WRITTEN: His compassions are NEW EVERY MORNING. Yesterday's failure doesn't cancel today's mercy. I have not exhausted grace because GRACE IS INEXHAUSTIBLE. IT IS WRITTEN: Where sin abounded, grace did MUCH MORE ABOUND. God's patience doesn't run out; His mercy doesn't have a cap. The Father isn't looking at me with exhaustion—He's running toward me with DELIGHT. I am not too far. I am FOUND. I am not too broken. I am BELOVED. God's not done. He's just GETTING STARTED.
The Father doesn't have a 'three strikes' policy. Manasseh sacrificed his KIDS to demons and still got restored. The prodigal could have come home a hundred times and the Father would have thrown a hundred parties. You haven't worn Him out. You've WOKEN UP HIS JOY.
