"I'm too competitive and driven - godly women are supposed to be gentle, not ambitious."
How it sounds in your head: I want to WIN, to excel, to be the best. But girls who push hard get labeled 'intimidating' or 'aggressive.' Maybe my drive is ungodly pride.
"She perceives that her merchandise is good, and her lamp does not go out by night."
-- Proverbs 31:18Religious teaching that mistakes ambition for arrogance, making female excellence seem threatening or unsubmissive.
She's been told to 'let others shine' and 'don't be a show-off' while watching boys get celebrated for the same drive. Her ambition feels like rebellion against femininity.
She ran multiple businesses, managed real estate, made strategic investments, and her lamp never went out - relentless, ambitious, excellent. Her husband and children praised her for it, and so did God.
I REFUSE the lie that ambition is ungodly for women. IT IS WRITTEN that the Proverbs 31 woman worked day and night, building businesses and wealth without apology. My drive isn't pride - it's PURPOSE. IT IS WRITTEN in Colossians 3:23 to work heartily as for the LORD. I am IN CHRIST (Philippians 4:13), strengthened for ALL THINGS. The BARAK blessing flows through my ambition - I am HEAD not TAIL, ABOVE ONLY not beneath. My competitive edge is HOLY FIRE.
The Father isn't asking you to shrink - He's CHEERING you on. He made you a WARRIOR, and He's running toward you with victories only your drive can WIN.
