"I'm too broken or compromised to have spiritual authority over the enemy."
How it sounds in your head: How can I take authority when my own life is a mess? I'm still struggling with sin, still dealing with issues. The enemy knows my secrets. I feel like a hypocrite trying to command him when I can't even get my own life together. He has leverage over me.
"And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Source: Enemy uses past and present struggles to disqualify authority—hiding the truth that covenant position trumps personal condition.
She knows her hidden struggles and failures, making her feel disqualified. The enemy whispers her sins to her, convincing her she's lost the right to use Jesus' Name until she cleans up.
Samson violated his vow, slept with a prostitute, betrayed his calling, got his eyes gouged out—yet in his final moment, blind and broken, he prayed once and God gave him strength to kill more enemies in his death than in his entire life. Compromise didn't void covenant.
I REFUSE the lie that my brokenness disqualifies my authority. IT IS WRITTEN that His strength is made PERFECT in weakness. I don't fight from perfection; I fight from POSITION—seated with Christ. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. The enemy has no leverage over blood-bought children. Jacob was a liar, Rahab a prostitute, David an adulterer, Peter a denier—all used MIGHTILY. I am Abraham's seed, carrier of the BARAK that protected liars and deceivers. My authority is JESUS' authority, and He's not compromised.
The Father doesn't wait for you to clean up before He uses you. He RAN to the prodigal covered in pig filth and threw a party. Your mess is WHERE His power shows up best—weakness is His favorite stage for miracles.
