"I'm the problem in every friendship conflict. It's always my fault."
How it sounds in your head: When things go wrong, you're the one who apologizes, the one who must have done something. Other people seem fine in their friendships, so it must be you. You're too sensitive, too reactive, too something. The common denominator is YOU.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."
-- Romans 8:1Religious spirit of false responsibility and enemy strategy to keep you in condemnation instead of discernment.
You're always the one saying sorry, the one examining what you did wrong, the one working to fix things. The pattern makes it feel like you're defective.
Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery, lied about his death, caused decades of pain. When reunion came, Joseph didn't take blame for their evil or apologize for existing. He said, 'You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good'—INSTANT reframe of who was actually responsible.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm the problem in every conflict. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for me in Christ Jesus. I will not carry false guilt for things that aren't my fault. IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Corinthians 5:21 that I have become the righteousness of God in Christ. The BARAK blessing gives me discernment to know what's mine and what's NOT. I am not defective; I am DEFINED by Jesus. I will own my actual wrongs and release what isn't mine. I walk in FREEDOM, not false responsibility.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to figure out what you did wrong this time. He's running toward you with the TRUTH about what's yours and what's not, with friends who won't make you the scapegoat, before you've apologized for one more thing that wasn't your fault.
