"I'm the friend people tolerate but don't actually want around."
How it sounds in your head: You're the one they invite out of obligation, not excitement. You can feel it when the energy shifts when you walk up. They're nice to your face but would rather you weren't there.
"The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
-- Zephaniah 3:17Spirit of rejection whispering lies about how others perceive you, keeping you in prison while the door is actually open.
You've felt the shift in conversation when you arrive, seen the hesitation before invites, noticed you're always the one initiating. The social cues feel like confirmation you're unwanted.
Mephibosheth was crippled, hiding, convinced he was worthless as a dead dog. King David didn't tolerate him—he SOUGHT him out, restored all his grandfather's land INSTANTLY, and made him eat at the king's table PERMANENTLY like one of the king's sons.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm tolerated but not wanted. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord rejoices over me with SINGING. If God celebrates me, I don't need to beg for human approval. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:31 that if God is FOR me, who can be against me? The BARAK blessing causes people to FAVOR me supernaturally. I don't have to read every room for rejection because I carry the presence that makes rooms brighter. I am wanted, delighted in, and SOUGHT OUT by the people God has assigned to me.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to be less annoying. He's running toward you with people who will light up when you walk in the room, who will text YOU first, before you've performed or proved anything.
