You've seen people exchange looks after you spoke. You've gotten the 'that was weird' vibe enough times that you're hyperaware of every word now, which makes you MORE awkward because you're in your head instead of present.
Jeremiah told God 'I can't speak, I'm only a child, I don't know how to talk to people.' God's response wasn't 'try harder' - it was 'I'm putting MY WORDS in your mouth' and made him a prophet to NATIONS. God used the 'awkward kid' to speak messages that are still quoted 2600 years later.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm socially awkward or always say wrong things. IT IS WRITTEN that God made my mouth and will BE WITH MY MOUTH to teach me what to say. I'm not figuring this out alone - the Holy Spirit is my conversation coach in real time. IT IS WRITTEN in Luke 12:12 the Holy Spirit teaches me what to say in the very hour I need it. I am Abraham's seed, blessed with FAVOR in speech. The BARAK protected even when Abraham LIED - how much more does it cover my awkward moments? I'm not defective; I'm developing, and grace covers the learning process.
