"I'm not tithing perfectly so God is withholding financial blessing from me."

How it sounds in your head: Malachi 3 says if I don't tithe I'm robbing God and under a curse. I've missed months, tithed on net instead of gross, given inconsistently. No wonder I'm struggling—the windows of heaven are closed to me until I get this right.

2 Corinthians 9:7-8

"So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."

-- 2 Corinthians 9:7-8
Enemy whispers: You're cursed because your tithing isn't perfect. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: 2 Corinthians 9:7-8—'Not grudgingly or of NECESSITY'—you are NOT under law-based tithing requirements. IT IS WRITTEN: Galatians 3:13—'Christ has redeemed us from the CURSE of the law.' The Malachi curse was nailed to the cross. God makes ALL GRACE ABOUND toward you not because your giving is perfect but because HIS GRACE is perfect. You give from blessing, not for blessing.
Quick Truth: LIE: Imperfect tithing brings a curse. TRUTH: Christ redeemed you FROM the curse—you're under grace, not law (Gal 3:13, 2 Cor 9:7)

Source: Old Covenant law applied to New Covenant believers, weaponizing Malachi 3:8-10 while ignoring that Christ fulfilled the law and we're no longer under it.

Why this feels true:

He's heard Malachi 3 preached his whole life as a requirement for blessing, and the math seems to work—when he tithed consistently things were better, when he didn't they got worse. It feels like cause and effect.

1 Kings 17:13-16
The Widow of Zarephath

She had ONE meal left before starvation and hadn't been tithing to anyone. Elijah asked for it first, she gave, and her oil and flour NEVER RAN OUT for years—provision flowed from one act of faith-giving, not from perfect tithing records.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that blessing is withheld because my giving isn't perfect. IT IS WRITTEN: Christ redeemed me from the CURSE of the law—I am not under Malachi's curse, I'm under Calvary's grace. I give as I purpose in my heart, not of necessity, because God loves a CHEERFUL giver. IT IS WRITTEN: God makes ALL GRACE abound toward me—not some grace when I tithe right, but ALL grace because of Jesus. The BARAK blessing flows to me by COVENANT, not by calculation. I am blessed to be a blessing, I give from overflow, I receive as a son.

But God actually:

The Father isn't withholding the windows of heaven until your spreadsheet is perfect—He's already opened them over you because of the BLOOD, not the budget. He's looking for cheerful sons, not perfect accountants.
