"I'm supposed to be financially stable by now—something is wrong with me spiritually."
How it sounds in your head: Other Christian guys my age are buying houses, have savings, seem financially solid. I'm still struggling. Maybe I have hidden sin blocking blessing, or I'm not spiritual enough, or God's discipline is keeping me in this place until I learn something.
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
-- Philippians 4:19Source: Comparison mixed with religious teaching that financial struggle always indicates spiritual problem or hidden sin blocking God's favor.
He sees peers succeeding and can't find the difference except maybe their spiritual life is better. The Job's friends theology—if you're suffering financially, you must have done something wrong—feels logical.
Lazarus was so poor he begged at a rich man's gate and dogs licked his sores—yet angels carried him to Abraham's bosom when he died. His poverty didn't indicate spiritual failure; he was beloved and positioned for eternal glory.
I REFUSE the lie that financial struggle equals spiritual failure. IT IS WRITTEN: There is NO condemnation in Christ Jesus—my worth isn't measured by my net worth. God supplies according to HIS riches in glory, not my performance or timeline. IT IS WRITTEN: I am blessed in the city and in the field, blessed coming in and going out—the BARAK blessing is mine by covenant, not achievement. Comparison is a thief and a liar. I reject timelines that contradict God's Word. I am exactly where I need to be for the breakthrough He's prepared.
The Father isn't comparing you to your peers or holding back until you reach some spiritual benchmark—He's running toward you with the robe and ring RIGHT NOW, positioning you for a testimony that will make the wait worth it.
