"I can't expect financial miracles when I haven't prayed or read my Bible consistently for years."
How it sounds in your head: You've been distant from God. Barely opened your Bible. Prayer life basically nonexistent. Why would He provide for someone who's ignored Him? You can't just show up now when you need something. That's not how relationship works.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
-- Romans 5:8The guilt from spiritual inconsistency makes asking for provision feel presumptuous and hypocritical. It seems logical that God would help those who've stayed close, not those who've been distant.
Never read Scripture, never prayed, never went to church, lived a life of crime, currently being executed for his sins. One moment of faith brought immediate response from Jesus: 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise'—no waiting period, no prove-yourself process.
I REFUSE the lie that my provision depends on my devotional consistency. IT IS WRITTEN that while I was STILL a sinner, Christ died for me—He didn't wait for me to get spiritual disciplines right. The thief received paradise with zero Bible reading or prayer history. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed by covenant, not by religious performance. The BARAK blessing flows from HIS nature, not my consistency. I receive provision NOW based on grace.
The Father isn't withholding until you get your Bible reading on track—He's running toward you right now, in this moment, regardless of how many devotionals you've missed. His provision flows from His character, not your spiritual consistency.
