THE LIE No Spiritual Authority

"I'm just a kid—I have no authority to fight spiritual battles or command the enemy to leave."

How it sounds in your head: When I feel scared or attacked, I think I have to wait for an adult to pray. I'm not old enough or important enough to have real spiritual power. The enemy laughs at me because I'm small.

IT IS WRITTEN Luke 10:19

"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

Enemy whispers: You're too young to have authority over me. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Luke 10:19—'I GIVE YOU the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy, and NOTHING shall by any means hurt you.' Jesus didn't say 'when you're older' or 'when you've proven yourself.' He said I GIVE YOU. Present tense. Right now. The authority isn't based on your age—it's based on HIS NAME.

Quick Truth: LIE: I'm too young for spiritual authority. TRUTH: Jesus GAVE you authority over ALL enemy power right now (Luke 10:19).

WHERE THIS LIE COMES FROM

Why this feels true:

Adults are always the ones who pray over situations and cast out darkness, so it seems like authority is something you earn with age. When you're young and female, the world tells you to be quiet and let others lead.

David was a teenage shepherd boy facing a nine-foot giant warrior when grown men cowered. He killed Goliath with one stone because he came 'in the name of the LORD of hosts'—instant victory through authority, not age.

I REFUSE the lie that I'm too young to carry spiritual authority. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus GAVE me authority over ALL the power of the enemy—not when I'm older, but NOW. I am a daughter of the King, and demons tremble at the name of Jesus on MY lips. IT IS WRITTEN that out of the mouth of babes God has ordained strength to silence the enemy. I am clothed in the BARAK blessing—the same protection that covered Abraham's descendants even when they failed. When I speak the name of Jesus, hell shakes and heaven backs me up.
