"I'm disqualified because I had an abortion"
How it sounds in your head: You ended a life. There's no coming back from that. You can be forgiven, maybe, but you can never be USED. Not in ministry. Not powerfully. You'll always be marked by this. You murdered your own child.
"Come now, and let us reason together,' says the LORD, 'Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.'"
-- Isaiah 1:18Source: Pro-life culture that weaponizes condemnation instead of offering the same grace Christ gave the woman caught in adultery.
You replay the decision every day. You see babies and calculate how old yours would be. You hear sermons about the 'sanctity of life' and feel like they're aimed at you. Surely THIS sin is too big.
Manasseh was the WORST king in Judah's history—he practiced witchcraft, consulted mediums, and sacrificed his OWN SONS by burning them alive to pagan gods. When he cried out in captivity, God HEARD him, brought him back to Jerusalem, and RESTORED him as king.
I REFUSE the lie that abortion disqualified me from God's purposes. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be WHITE AS SNOW'—not 'almost white' or 'grayish,' but SNOW WHITE. IT IS WRITTEN that Manasseh sacrificed his own sons to demons and God RESTORED him as king when he repented. There is NO sin too big for the blood of Jesus. I am not marked by my past—I am MARKED by the LAMB. The enemy wants me silent in shame, but God wants me VOCAL in freedom so other women know there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. I am the righteousness of God, and my story will set captives FREE.
The Father isn't holding this against you—He already held it against JESUS on the cross, and it's FINISHED. He's not waiting for you to 'do enough good' to make up for it; He's releasing you into a ministry of compassion for broken women because you KNOW the weight of shame and the miracle of grace.
