You can name the people—the VP you fired before his pension vested, the competitor you bankrupted, the employees laid off to make your bonus targets. The 401k balance feels tainted by the casualties. Success feels like evidence of ruthlessness, not blessing.
Jacob used DECEPTIVE breeding tactics to cheat his father-in-law Laban out of livestock—manipulated genetics through superstition and trickery. God's response? 'Jacob became EXCEEDINGLY prosperous' (v.43). The wealth gained through deceptive business practices was BLESSED, not cursed, because of covenant.
I REFUSE the lie that business tactics cursed my success. IT IS WRITTEN that God will BLESS me and make my name great—the BARAK blessing isn't withdrawn because I hurt people climbing the ladder. I am blessed in my storehouses—this isn't revoked by ladder-climbing. The Father is RESTORING what I took unjustly and MULTIPLYING it for His purposes.
The Father isn't reviewing your business ethics to determine if your 401k is blessed or cursed—He blessed Jacob's DECEPTIVE tactics and made him exceedingly prosperous. The wealth you gained by hurting people is being REDEEMED for Kingdom purposes, not marked as cursed. He's turning ladder-climbing into legacy-building.
