"I'm constantly under demonic attack and can't catch a break"
How it sounds in your head: Every single day feels like warfare. Bad thoughts, oppression, nightmares, unexplained fear. I'm exhausted from constant spiritual battle. Other Christians seem fine, but I'm always fighting. Maybe I'm more targeted or not strong enough to resist.
"Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."
-- Colossians 2:15Religious teaching that presents Christians as barely holding ground in warfare, constantly vulnerable to demonic assault, needing daily deliverance rituals
The mental and emotional torment is real and relentless. When warfare language is the only framework given for anxiety and intrusive thoughts, it reinforces feeling perpetually under siege.
Elisha's servant panicked seeing the Syrian army surrounding them. Elisha prayed his eyes would open—suddenly he saw the mountain full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding and protecting them. The visible threat was nothing compared to the invisible protection that was there ALL ALONG.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm constantly under attack with no protection. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus disarmed every principality and power, making a public spectacle of them at the cross. They have no weapons against me. I am not fighting for victory—I stand IN Christ's victory. IT IS WRITTEN that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. The BARAK blessing covers me—the same terror of God that fell on cities protecting murderers protects me, clothed in Christ's righteousness. I dwell in the secret place of the Most High. I am hidden, protected, and surrounded by armies of heaven I cannot even see.
Your Father sees you exhausted and isn't saying 'fight harder.' He's saying 'REST. The battle is Mine. I've already won.' Like the father ran to the prodigal, He's running toward your weariness with the robe of His victory, not a sword for more fighting.
