"I'm being oppressed by darkness and there's nothing I can do to escape it."
How it sounds in your head: This heavy feeling follows me everywhere. It's like a cloud I can't shake, thoughts I can't control, a darkness that won't let me go. I've tried to fight it but it's stronger than me. Maybe this is just my life now.
"He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love."

Beaten, bleeding, feet in stocks in the darkest part of the prison (ultimate oppression), they worshiped at midnight. IMMEDIATELY an earthquake shook the prison, every door flew open, and every chain fell off—instant freedom from impossible bondage.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm oppressed by darkness with no escape. IT IS WRITTEN that God HAS delivered me from the power of darkness and translated me into the Kingdom of His Son. I am not trying to GET into the light—I AM in the light because I am in Christ. Darkness has no power here; it's just a shadow trying to convince me it's solid. IT IS WRITTEN that the light shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot comprehend it or overcome it. The BARAK blessing means the terror of God surrounds me like it surrounded Jacob's murderous sons—even my enemies fear to approach. I am FREE, and I walk in LIGHT.
The Father doesn't see you trapped in darkness working your way toward the light—He sees you already seated in heavenly places in Christ, in the LIGHT, wondering why you're wearing sunglasses. Like the prodigal was never actually far from home in his father's heart, you were never actually in darkness once you belonged to Jesus.
