"The enemy has legal rights in my life because of past sins."
How it sounds in your head: That abortion. That affair. That decade of rebellion. The enemy brings it up constantly, and deep down you believe he has the right. You opened doors that can't be closed, gave him legal ground that can't be revoked.
"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."
-- Colossians 2:13-14Source: religion—teaching that your past gives the enemy ongoing authority despite the cross.
You carry decades of memories, some you're deeply ashamed of, and when life goes wrong it feels like deserved consequences. Religious teaching about 'open doors' and 'generational curses' makes your past feel like permanent liability.
The woman was caught IN THE ACT of adultery—undeniable guilt, legal death sentence deserved, accusers ready with stones. Jesus didn't make her earn forgiveness or complete a restoration process. He said, 'Neither do I condemn you'—INSTANT legal acquittal, no payment, no process, just grace.
I REFUSE the lie that the enemy has legal rights. IT IS WRITTEN: Colossians 2:14—the certificate of debt was wiped out, nailed to the cross. Every accusation is CANCELED. Every claim is VOID. The blood of Jesus doesn't just cover my past; it ERASES it. IT IS WRITTEN: Romans 8:1—there is NO condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. The courtroom is empty. The prosecutor is disarmed. I am Abraham's seed, walking in the BARAK blessing—justified, acquitted, FREE. My past has NO authority over my future. The enemy has NO legal ground. I am RIGHTEOUS by gift, not by performance.
The Father doesn't keep a file of your past sins to justify the enemy's attacks—He threw the entire record into the sea of forgetfulness, remembers your sins no more, and runs toward you with the robe of righteousness as if you never sinned at all.
