"I'm constantly oppressed and can't break free no matter what I do"
How it sounds in your head: I've tried deliverance ministry, fasting, spiritual warfare prayers, renouncing generational curses—everything. But the oppression keeps coming back. Maybe some people are just stuck under demonic attack. Maybe I opened a door I can't close, or my family line is too cursed, or I'm not spiritually strong enough to stay free.
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed."
-- Luke 4:18Religious teaching that freedom requires human effort and perfect spiritual performance to maintain.
When you've done all the 'deliverance steps' but still feel tormented, it seems like the problem is you. The exhaustion of constantly fighting makes bondage feel permanent.
A woman was bent double for EIGHTEEN YEARS, bound by a spirit of infirmity, unable to straighten herself. Jesus saw her, spoke ONE SENTENCE—'Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity'—and IMMEDIATELY she stood up straight and glorified God. No deliverance process, no casting out session, just one declaration of freedom.
I REFUSE the lie that I am stuck in oppression. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus came to set the oppressed at liberty, and whom the Son sets free is free INDEED. I was transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His marvelous light the moment I believed. No demon has legal right to oppress me because I am covered by the blood of Jesus. IT IS WRITTEN that greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. The BARAK blessing surrounds me—even when Abraham LIED and Jacob DECEIVED, the blessing protected them. I am in CHRIST, and no power of hell can hold me.
The Father is whispering, 'You're trying to break free, but I already broke every chain at the cross. Stop fighting and receive.' Like the prodigal, you're rehearsing your 'make me worthy' speech, but He's already running with the robe of freedom in His hands.
