"I'm always tired no matter how much I sleep because rest never refreshes me."
How it sounds in your head: Even when I do sleep, I wake up exhausted. Other kids have energy but I'm always dragging. Maybe I'll just be tired my whole life and never feel rested.
"He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength."
-- Isaiah 40:29Spirit of heaviness trying to establish chronic fatigue identity before teen years even begin.
Growth spurts and puberty genuinely require more rest, and cultural overscheduling creates real exhaustion patterns. When sleep doesn't seem to help, hopelessness sets in quickly.
Samson had just killed 1,000 men with a donkey's jawbone and was dying of thirst, completely depleted. God split open a rock and water gushed out - one drink and his strength returned IMMEDIATELY, revived in moments from near death.
I REFUSE the lie that I'll always be tired or that rest can't refresh me. IT IS WRITTEN that my Father GIVES power to the weak and INCREASES strength to those with no might - that's a present-tense gift, not a future promise. My exhaustion doesn't disqualify me from His energy, it QUALIFIES me. IT IS WRITTEN that those who wait on Him shall RUN and not be weary. I am blessed with the BARAK of Abraham - my storehouses are commanded to be blessed, and that includes my energy reserves. Right now I receive the supernatural refreshing that comes from Heaven, not from perfect sleep schedules.
Your Father sees your exhaustion and isn't lecturing you about sleep hygiene or screen time. He's running toward you like He ran to Samson with water from the rock, ready to refresh you in ONE MOMENT with strength that has nothing to do with how many hours you slept.
