"Everyone my age has sleep problems - this is normal, not something God would fix."
How it sounds in your head: All my friends complain about sleep. The doctor says it's expected. Support groups are full of people my age with the same issue. Maybe miraculous sleep is for younger people with 'real' problems, not normal aging stuff.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
-- 3 John 1:2Agreement with statistical majority over covenant promises, making average experience more authoritative than God's Word.
The statistics ARE real - sleep disruption increases with age across populations. Every peer conversation includes sleep complaints. Medical professionals normalize it. It IS common, which feels like 'just reality' rather than spiritual attack.
Caleb at 85 years old declared 'I am as strong this day as on the day Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength' - and he conquered mountain giants. He didn't accept age-appropriate decline - he claimed covenant strength and demonstrated it.
I REFUSE the lie that common equals covenant. IT IS WRITTEN that I should prosper in ALL things and be in health - God's will for me, regardless of age statistics. Psalm 92:14 declares I shall be FRESH and FLOURISHING in old age - that's my identity. IT IS WRITTEN in Joshua 14:11 - Caleb at 85 was as strong as at 40. Covenant strength doesn't retire. The BARAK blessing doesn't have an expiration date - it protected 90-year-old Abraham, blessed 175-year-old Abraham at death. I am Abraham's seed, and I receive age-defying, supernatural, restorative sleep NOW. Statistics bow to Scripture.
The Father isn't looking at your age bracket and lowering His expectations - He's looking at His covenant and maintaining His promises. Like Caleb received mountain-conquering strength at 85, you receive sleep-restoring power at your age. It's not about years - it's about covenant.
