"I'm aging out of opportunity. Doors are closing because I'm getting older."
How it sounds in your head: Job postings want 'recent graduates.' Internships have age caps. Industries prefer 'digital natives' who grew up with tech. You feel passed over before you even apply. The opportunities you see all seem designed for younger versions of you.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
-- Jeremiah 29:11World + Enemy: Ageism masquerading as meritocracy, youth-worship culture declaring shelf life on human potential.
Applications ask graduation year (code for age screening). 'Culture fit' means young. The energy in rooms shifts when you mention your age. Opportunities genuinely DO have age preferences, making the lie feel like statistical fact.
Moses was 80 years old when God called him to his GREATEST assignment—confronting Pharaoh and delivering Israel. EIGHTY. Most are retired. He was just STARTING the mission that would define history. Age didn't close his door; it opened to his DESTINY.
I REFUSE the lie that my age is closing doors of opportunity. IT IS WRITTEN that God's thoughts toward me are for a FUTURE and a HOPE—not a past and a shutdown. When God opens a door, NO MAN can shut it, regardless of my birthdate. I walk in the BARAK blessing that brings favor defying human logic and qualifications. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 43:19 that God is doing a NEW THING—not just for the young, but for those who have EYES TO SEE IT. Moses was 80 when his greatest assignment began. My age is irrelevant; my CALLING is eternal.
The Father isn't checking your resume's graduation date—He's checking your YES. While the world closes doors based on age, He's flinging open doors of destiny that have your name on them, prepared before you were born, waiting for NOW.
