"I'm a burden to my family and they'd be better off without me"
How it sounds in your head: You see the exhaustion in their eyes when they have to help you again. You hear the sighs. You were supposed to be the provider, the rock, and now you're the one who needs providing for. They're trapped taking care of you.
"Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you."
-- Isaiah 46:4Enemy accusation designed to isolate and create shame, directly opposing the Body of Christ design and family covenant.
You see the practical strain—schedule changes, financial pressure, physical exhaustion. The enemy takes those real challenges and twists them into evidence you're unwanted.
Blind beggar, total dependent, people told him to be quiet and stop bothering Jesus. Jesus IMMEDIATELY stopped, called for him, and healed him on the spot—proving the 'burden' was actually a divine appointment.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm a burden too heavy to carry. IT IS WRITTEN that even to gray hairs, the LORD will CARRY me—He made me, He bears me, He delivers me. I am not an inconvenience to my Father or to those He's placed around me. Carrying one another's burdens FULFILLS the law of Christ—my family is being given the gift of loving tangibly. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I silence the accuser's voice that calls me a burden. I am a SON, seated at the Father's table, whether I walk there or am carried.
The Father doesn't see you as a burden—He sees you as the son worth running toward, worth killing the fattened calf for, worth the robe and ring and sandals. Your family is learning to love like Him, and you're giving them that gift.
