"I'll probably relapse eventually. Most people do."
How it sounds in your head: You've heard the statistics—relapse rates are over 70%. You know guys who made it years and fell. At your age, with decades of neural pathways built by addiction, how realistic is permanent freedom? You're probably just postponing the inevitable. Better not get too confident.
"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
-- 1 Corinthians 10:13Statistics and human failure rates replacing faith in God's supernatural power to deliver completely.
The data is real. You've watched it happen. Your doctor said to expect setbacks. Even your sponsor said relapse is 'part of recovery.' If most people fail, why would you be different?
Nebuchadnezzar went insane for seven years—lived like an animal, ate grass, lost his mind completely. The INSTANT his sanity returned, his kingdom was restored and he never relapsed into madness. One deliverance. Complete. Permanent.
I REFUSE the lie that relapse is inevitable. IT IS WRITTEN that God is FAITHFUL and will not allow me to be tempted beyond what I can bear, and He WILL provide the way of escape. I am not a statistic—I am a son of God indwelt by His Spirit. My success rate is not 70%—it's 100% because HE is faithful. IT IS WRITTEN that He who began this good work WILL complete it. I don't walk in probable failure—I walk in CERTAIN victory because the One in me is greater than the one in the world.
The Father doesn't look at you and see a statistic waiting to fail. He sees a son who carries His own Spirit—the same power that conquered death. Your freedom isn't fragile or temporary. It's as permanent as the covenant that secured it.
