"I'll never have abs, so why even try? I'm just not built like those guys."
How it sounds in your head: You see transformation posts and think 'that's not my genetics.' Your dad has a gut, your body holds weight in the same places, and you're convinced you lost the genetic lottery. Why discipline yourself for a body you'll never have?
"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well."
-- Psalm 139:14Enemy + comparison: Your genetics are a curse, not a design, and you're stuck with inferior raw materials.
You've tried before and didn't get the results the influencers promise. Your body responded differently, and now you believe the lie that you're just 'not built for it.'
Mephibosheth was crippled in both feet—physically broken—yet King David restored him to eat at the king's table like one of his sons. His broken body didn't disqualify him from honor and provision; instant elevation despite permanent physical difference.
I REFUSE the lie that my genetics disqualify me from being marvelous. IT IS WRITTEN that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and God's works are never defective. I am not a failed prototype—I am a custom design. IT IS WRITTEN that the blessing of Abraham is mine by covenant, and that blessing doesn't require someone else's body. I am the head and not the tail with the frame I have today. I am blessed in my going out and coming in, and that includes how my body is built. No more comparison. No more shame. I am wonderfully made RIGHT NOW.
The Father isn't wishing He'd given you a different body—He's celebrating the one He designed specifically for you. He's not comparing you to anyone, and He's pulling out a chair at His table for you exactly as you are.
