"I'll never be free from obsessing over food and my body"
How it sounds in your head: This has been my life for so long—I can't remember what normal feels like. Every thought is about food, weight, appearance. Maybe this is just who I am now. Maybe I'm broken forever.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:17Enemy declaring permanence over what Christ already broke, stealing hope for freedom.
The obsession is loud and constant, and she's exhausted from fighting it. When you're in the middle of the storm, it's hard to believe there's a shore.
She bled for 12 YEARS—spent all her money, saw every doctor, only got worse. One touch of Jesus' garment and IMMEDIATELY the bleeding stopped. Jesus said, 'Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in PEACE.' 12 years of suffering, ONE MOMENT of healing. Instant freedom from what seemed permanent.
I REFUSE the lie that I'll never be free. IT IS WRITTEN that if anyone is in Christ, they are a NEW CREATION—old things have PASSED AWAY. I am NOT defined by my past obsessions or struggles. IT IS WRITTEN that whom the Son sets free is FREE INDEED. I am BARAK BLESSED—the blessing of Abraham cancels every curse, every chain, every lie. I walk in NEWNESS today, not someday. My mind is RENEWED. My body is REDEEMED. I am FREE.
The Father isn't waiting for you to climb out of this pit. He's reaching down RIGHT NOW and pulling you out. You don't have to fight for freedom—it's already YOURS. Jesus didn't die to leave you stuck. He died to make you FREE, and that freedom is NOW.
